Black and white view down church aisle with photographers capturing ceremony moments.
Dramatic black and white photo of a photographer working in low light conditions.

Every year, when we take a moment to look back, it still surprises us. We’re reminded of just how much we've poured into the couples and families who trusted us over the last 12 months. We worked a lot. But there's a really incredible byproduct, and sometimes we can't believe how lucky we are that this is our job. In real time, in real life, we get to see the love you all share with each other. We get to be there because you've trusted us to capture milestones and memories that mean the world to you. We’re grateful. We’re proud. We’re humbled. We’re also exhausted 🤣. But mostly, we’re in awe of how many beautiful moments we were invited to photograph.

We feel incredibly honored that so many of you chose to invest in your memories through us. We DO NOT take that lightly. We often find ourselves looking back at the work we captured and created as a reminder of how important this work really is. We revisit your thank-you messages expressing that you appreciate and value us as much as the work we did. That never gets old.

This year felt like a shift toward a more meaningful way of connecting, of serving those who gave us the trust and space to be part of their moments, and of valuing ourselves and the work we pour our lives into. That last part hits home in a HUGE way, especially through the gestures of appreciation we’ve received and the way so many clients have become friends. In addition to the appreciation we felt from our 2025 couples and families, this year brought something we experienced more than ever before: couples and families from previous years reaching back out to thank us again for work we created years ago.

And that speaks directly to what matters most to us: legacy.

Knowing that these images are still being viewed, shared, and enjoyed long after the day has passed tells us we’ve been doing what we set out to do from the very beginning: to create meaningful work.

2025 also taught us important lessons about valuing and even protecting ourselves and our passion—lessons that made us more grateful for those of you who truly appreciate what we do and who we are. Each year continues to surpass our expectations, and we owe that entirely to everyone who has hired us, referred us, and supported a 13-year-old dream of becoming photographers.

Creating these recaps is a challenge that gets harder every year, simply because there’s so much we love. We could have easily include ten times as many images as we have here and all would have been images we love. As photographers, we have to try to capture every layer of a wedding: the story, the aesthetic, the emotion, the big scene, and the small details. Because of this, there are so many different reasons we love an image. Sometimes it’s the art, sometimes the moment, sometimes the unexpected. In the past, we tried to create this set based on what we thought might look best, or what we thought might showcase our skill set. We're going to take a slightly different approach this time.

THE CRITERIA: if we love the image for any reason, it belongs here. These images serve us, too. And we want to share them with you as a glimpse into an amazing year that honestly turned out better than we ever imagined. We can't wait to do this again for 2026!
