We FINALLY got to photograph Emily and Spencer! This session marked our very first engagement session of the year, and it couldn’t have been a better way to get the year started.
We met Emily and Spencer at one of our favorite places to photograph, the New York Public Library. There’s just something about the scale, the architecture, and the quiet energy of the space that never gets old for us. Every time we’re there, it feels familiar and brand new all at once.
Emily and Spencer made the trip up from Alabama, turning their engagement session into a full NYC adventure. They made the most out of the trip by also making plans to catch a concert by one of Spencer’s longtime friends, who is a musician here in NYC.
These two brave souls took a January trip up from warmer weather to spend some time with us during one of the coldest winters we’ve had lately. So we absolutely wanted to make the most of it for them!
We appreciate that they made it easy for us. They looked absolutely incredible, stylish, completely themselves, and totally at ease together. We spent the session exploring the library, revisiting some of our favorite spots while also pushing ourselves to find new perspectives and angles we hadn’t captured there before. We LOVE what we came away with and love that we got some time to get to know these two before the wedding. Spending this time with Emily and Spencer only made us even more excited for what’s to come, and we’re counting down the days until the big one.
